You don’t need to fear the night And you don’t need to pray for light Cos in this darkness I can see through your eyes now You don’t need to hide within And you don’t need to always win Cos in this darkness I can see through your eyes now There’ll be a time when you’ll have to stand alone There’ll be a time when you will not be so strong There’ll be a time when you’ll realise that You don’t need to fear the night And you don’t need to pray for light Cos in this darkness I can see through your eyes now There’ll be a time when you’ll have to stand alone There’ll be a time when you will not be so strong There’ll be a time when you’ll realise that You don’t need to fear the night And you don’t need to pray for light Cos in this darkness I can see through your eyes now Cos in this darkness I can see through your eyes now

Won’t you reconsider baby If I give you the choice To stay or leave well it’s you or me That’s gonna have to pay the cost So won’t you reconsider baby Think on to what you’ve lost Won’t you recognise my worries When you say the things you say To stay or go well I just don’t know What you’re feeling is today So won’t you reconsider baby Think on to what you say Well I love to wind you up and watch you go But now I’ve wound you up too tight I know So won’t you reconsider baby If I give you the choice To stay or leave well it’s you or me That’s gonna have to pay the cost So won’t you reconsider baby Think on to what you’ve lost Think on Well I love to wind you up and watch you go But now I’ve wound you up too tight I know So won’t you reconsider baby If I give you the choice To stay or leave well it’s you or me That’s gonna have to pay the cost So won’t you reconsider baby Think on to what you’ve lost Think on Think on Think on

When the best in me brings out the worst in you And all the things you’ve got won’t be the things I’ll choose When I’m out you’re in and when I’m in you’re not It’s like we broke something, it’s like we lost the plot The more you give the less I seem to take And all the things I used to love, I hate The more I stay with you, the more I seem to lose I’ve seen the madness come, I’ve felt your anger too These years of compromise have brought a great divide I don’t want to face the truth but I don’t want to lie The more you give the less I seem to take And all the things I used to love I hate You say that I’ve got something on my mind Well what can I say You tell me that it all works out it time But it’s too late, it’s too late When the best in me brings out the worst in you And all the things you’ve got won’t be the things I’ll choose When I’m out you’re in and when I’m in you’re not It’s like we broke something, it’s like we lost the plot The more you give the less I seem to take And all the things I used to love, I hate The more you give the less I seem to take And all the things I used to love, I hate

about

Three songs from a rehearsal recorded live in April 1999 at The Six Bells Chiddingly East Sussex. Chris Mansell on guitar, Andy Coote on Drums and myself on bass used to meet up on a Sunday afternoon at The Six Bells after the Jazz band had finished and before the live band in the evening. We would set up and play for fun, songs by Chris and some by me. These are the only 3 recordings I have from those times and with the sad passing of both Andy and now Chris I thought I would release them even though they are a bit rough round the edges. They capture a moment in time and happy memories.
