Thought I was jumping But it turned out I had trampoline shoes With every step I took Well I bounced further from the truth It might sound strange Yeah it’s all been pretty weird But now I understand It’s all so very clear Thought I was jumping But it turned out I was falling When I wanted to be flying Thought I was jumping But it turned out I was falling When I wanted to be flying Jumping, falling, flying Jumping, falling, flying Jumping, falling, flying Thought I was falling But it turned out I was dreaming instead Before I hit the floor Grabbed all the sheets from off my bed It might sound strange Yeah it’s all been pretty weird But now I understand It’s all so very clear Thought I was jumping But it turned out I was falling When I wanted to be flying Thought I was jumping But it turned out I was falling When I wanted to be flying Jumping, falling, flying yeah Jumping, falling, flying yeah Jumping, falling, flying yeah But when you think about it It all seems pretty cool There ain’t no doubt about it I’ve only got me to fool Thought I was flying But it turned out I was somebody else With every passing cloud I flew further from myself It might sound strange Yeah it’s all been pretty weird But now I understand It’s all so very clear Thought I was jumping But it turned out I was falling When I wanted to be flying Thought I was jumping But it turned out I was falling When I wanted to be flying Jumping, falling, flying yeah Jumping, falling, flying yeah Jumping, falling, flying yeah

Somethings you come to late in life And there are things you leave behind All these things mean something, all these things mean something The things you keep, the things you lose All these things are part of you Somethings you always keep inside And other things just pass you by But all these things mean something, all these things mean something The things you keep, the things you lose All these things are part of you So let yourself be liberated From what you created in your past What is gone is over So brush it off your shoulder Your time is moving grab it fast Somethings you learn from your mistakes Like what you give is what you take All these things mean something, all these things mean something The things you keep, the things you lose All these things are part of you Somethings are worth the wait Like love and hope and faith All these things mean something, all these things mean something The things you keep, the things you lose All these things are part of you So let yourself be liberated From what you created in your past What is gone is over So brush it off your shoulder Your time is moving grab it fast Somethings you come to late in life And there are things you leave behind All these things mean something, all these things mean something The things you keep, the things you lose All these things are part of you All these things All these things All these things are part of you

Big Shot 02:58
He was a big shot His life was red hot He liked to straddle the world He liked to globe trot He had a weak spot For making piles of dough He had a lot to learn But he was not concerned He had his own point of view The world kept turning While he kept burning Up everything that it grew He drove a big car He had a pink star On Hollywood Boulevard He got it chiefly For work on tv But someone smashed it apart He had a lot to learn But he was not concerned He had his own point of view The world kept turning While he kept burning Up everything that it grew High on the rich list The family business Was built on secrets and lies No one could touch him Except for one thing The day the climate expires He had a lot to learn But he was not concerned He had his own point of view The world kept turning While he kept burning Up everything that it grew

The high priestess of hippyness Was dancing coast to coast By a standing stone she cast her runes In a purple hat and coat She lived in her world of empathy For all that grows around Her belief was Mother Nature And the magic in the ground A Cornish pixie catching lord A Geordie woodland man Drank cider in the setting sun On the steps of a caravan Sitting in his feathered hat Taking in the view Carving wood and telling tales Whilst swearing at the moon A white witch and a highwayman Kept a minotaur In a cave of twinkling light On the edge of a sweeping moor People came from near and far To see that magic place They smiled and serve them tea and beer With gratitude and grace So when the high priestess and woodland lord Met the witch and the highwayman The white witch read their tarot cards And they drank her nettle wine The highwayman pulled out his knife It was his party trick The high priestess just laughed And carved new symbols on her stick The Geordie lord got up and said It’s time for me to leave He had a yearning to return To his forest near the sea My caravan awaits me there My urge is to be gone But he’d drunk to much nettle wine And passed out on the lawn The white witch and the highwayman Were restless for their bed The Minotaur looked on Their wasn’t much he ever said They dimmed the light and said goodnight And stole a furtive glance Their passion was a drug to them They stole off in a trance This only left the high priestess Of hippieistic nature She off her purple hat and coat And then a while later She slipped out to the moor And danced naked in the rain She threw her head back Happy to be free and wild again So travelling from shore to shore There are many sights to see But the strangest thing you’ll never find Cloaked in it’s oddity Is the white witch and the highwayman The high priestess and lord Gathered in the glistening cave Of the silent Minotaur

We used to be brothers in arms Armed with a song and two guitars We thought we had good times on our side We were collaborators And nothing could stop or faze us We never got far but we sure tried We had to keep running fast But somethings can never last, woh oh oh It was a far and distant world Woh oh oh But it was all so long ago We were collaborators Making a world that was bound to break us The architects of our demise With songs of love and lies We used to make light of the world Carrying on like there was no tomorrow But now all we have is yesterday We used to ride the crowd But foolishness haunts the proud And after the fall what could we say And time just kept running past Cos somethings can never last, woh oh oh It was a far and distant world Woh oh oh But it was all so long ago We were collaborators Making a world that was bound to break us The architects of our demise With songs of love and lies And if I said I still want you Loving me loving you What would you say what would you do Lay yourself down, into the blue We were collaborators Making a world that was bound to break us The architects of our demise We were collaborators Making a world that was bound to break us The architects of our demise With songs of love and lies We used to be brothers in arms Armed with a song and two guitars

À La Tienne 03:05
I wanna say hi Welcome to my sky Don’t ask me why I was passing by À La Tienne It’s good to see you my friend It’s after four So bon soir to you monsieur I wanna make time And stay with you awhile Drop me a line It always makes me smile And in the end It’s good to see you again Cos after all The world is only small I wanna say hi Welcome to my sky Don’t ask me why I was passing by À La Tienne It’s good to see you my friend It’s after four So bon soir to you monsieur And in the end It’s good to see you again Cos after all

I’ve been staring at the ground too long I’ve been dragging my feet I’ve been looking to hard to see where I’ve been I’ve been wishing my life away I’ve been wasting my time I’ve been waiting so long I missed everything Look up look up to the sky, look up look up to the sky I’ve been scratching the earth away I’ve been digging beneath I’ve been searching to find what I’ve always seen I’ve been swimming the darkest sea I’ve been lost in the deep I’ve been looking to hard to see anything Look up look up to the sky, look up look up to the sky So don’t wish your life away And don’t waste your time Start looking to hold onto what you find Why don’t you raise your head Set yourself free Look up from the ground and you’ll see Look up look up to the sky, look up look up to the sky

Tara came from Okehampton I was driving across the moor She said she had a key for me But it wouldn’t unlock the door Winter was holding on to Spring There was snow across the road I set off from Sourton Cross In the rain and in the cold Not going back now No I’m not going back no more Not going back now No I’m not going back for sure Not going back now No I’m not going back no more Not going back now No I’m not going back Not going back no more A lot of folk thought I was wrong But I’d met her once before She said she had a place for me But I wasn’t really sure I’d come a long way from the East I drove five hours or more I rode that hill so I could see The view from on the Tor Not going back now No I’m not going back no more Not going back now No I’m not going back for sure Not going back now No I’m not going back no more Not going back now No I’m not going back Not going back no more The day was dark but I kept on Didn’t know what laid in store I found her at the junction She was leaning against the door I pushed the key into the lock It was then I knew she’d lied A breath of stale air greeted me And I stepped up inside Not going back now No I’m not going back no more Not going back now No I’m not going back for sure Not going back now No I’m not going back no more Not going back now No I’m not going back Not going back no more

It always rains around here But at least the grass is green It don’t matter on the time of year It always rains around here It always rains on Friday afternoons I’ve been told it’s a safe bet And you can always count on it It always rains around here It always rains round here And there ain’t nothing you can do about it It always rains round here Well you’re gonna get wet so get used to it It always rains around here Everyone I met agrees It don’t matter if the sky is clear It always rains around here It always rains round here And there ain’t nothing you can do about it It always rains round here Well you’re gonna get wet so get used to it It always rains around here But at least the grass is green It don’t matter on the time of year It always rains around here It don’t matter if the sky is clear It always rains around here It always rains around here
